TOTAL DAYS 26 / TREK MODERATED –A1

DAY 1.- Departure from your native country, arrival to JORGE CHAVEZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT in LIMA, PERU. Transfer to "EL MUNDO Hotel", located in the district of MIRAFLORES and also meeting with the organizing company.

DAY 2.- Departure from JORGE CHAVEZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Flight duration is approximately 1 hour to the imperial city of CUZCO. Arrival to CUZCO city at 3300 meters over sea level, settlement and information. In the afternoon it is possible to visit the main historical monuments of the city.

DAY 3.- Acclimatization in order to trek to AUSANGATE, 4 to 5 hour visiting the FORTALEZAS DE SACCSAYHUAMAN, PUCA PUCARA and TAMBO MACHAY (optional city tour to CUZCO on bus).

DAY 4.- Beginning of AUSANGATE trekking. Early departure from CUZCO city by a road which CUZCO, TINQUI and OCONGATE. A 6 hour bus trip, on our way we will have an excellent panoramic view of vegetation, agriculture areas and then get to an Andean town where we will meet a muleteer who will help us in our way to the ( mountains covered with snow) of AUSANGATE and others.

DAY 5.- TINQUI at 3800 meters over sea level, trek on an open country, panoramic view of the countryside snow and surrounding mountains, 5 to 6 hour journey till UPIS camp, where we can take a shower into the hot volcanic water.

DAY 6.- At 4400 meters over sea level. Trek on the foothill of NEVADO AUSANGATE to PUCACOCCHA camp. On our way we can see some lakes of many different colors, and of course native animals such as LLAMAS, ALPACAS and others.

DAY 7.- PUCACCANCHA o (SARNACANCHA), A very hard trek this day, because we must go up two PASS which exceed 5000 meters over sea level. PASO PALOMANI from where going down to PAMPA CANCHA camp begins.

DAY 8.- PAMPA 8.- PAMPAhis day we have a quiet trek, we can descry the NATURAL RESERVATION of HUALLATAS birds and other wild animals, we have another pass at 1000 meters from where we can enjoy the view of the most amazing mountains of CORDILLERA VILCANOTA, and then we will go down to PACHAS PATA camp site.

DAY 9.- You can either rest or take a walk around the nearest valleys. This is programmed in our itinerary (climbing a no-hard route to NEVADO CAMPA is optional). No experience required.

DAY 10.- PACHASPATA – Soft trek down to the borders of UTURUNCOCHA and CAYCOCHA lakes and then COMER COCHA, we can also see many kinds of VIZCACHAS (a big native rodent) and other animals. Early arrival to PACCHANTA camp, we can also enjoy again the natural hot water and share the everyday living of the Andean man.

DAY 11.- A 3 to 4 hour trek to TINQUI town (celebration due to the trek around the NEVADO AUSANGATE the APU of CORDILLERA VILCANOTA, then preparation of PACHAMANCA, a traditional peruvian meal.

DAY 12.- TINQUI – CUZCO – All day trip. Visit to the traditional markets of URCOS – CCATCA.

DAY 13.- CUZCO city. Rest day.

DAY 14.- Early departure by train to AGUAS CALIENTES, going through (sacred valley of URUBAMBA), enjoying a view of the harvests of this region.

DAY 15.- Departure to the citadel of MACHUPICCHU, interesting visist to the capital city of our ancestors and a short trek to HUAYNA PICCHU at 2660 meters. In the afternoon we will go back to the departure point.

DAY 16.- AGUAS CALIENTES – CUZCO by train.

DAY 17.- Flight from CUZCO city to AREQUIPA arrangement to ascend volcano MISTI, beautiful volcano that overtops the city. Sandy volcanic ground and lava in stratified 5zones. Fuming activity. Ascending requires a good physical condition an acclimatization.

DAY 18.- AREQUIPA. Departure to the North route through AGUA BLANCA (white water) dam which is the easiest. 3 hour car journey at 4000 meters over sea level. From this place go up to MONTE BLANCO camp in 5 hours at 4775 meters.

DAY 19.- SUMMIT day, early departure to the top of the MISTI. The top is at 5822 meters over sea level and will be reached in 5 to 6 hours. Coming back to the camp will take 4 hours, then take the transportation. This is a long day going up and then down to the WHITE CITY.

DAY 20.- Arrangement for going to (COLCA CANYON).

DAY 21.- Keeping along the itinerary we will departure to CAÑON DEL COLCA considered the deepest CANYON of the world. From this place we may descry the towns of PINCHILLO and CABANA CONDE where the CONDOR, one of the biggest birds of the world, lives. To visit these places we should leave AREQUIPA on an appropriate transportation, then we will get to CHIVAY, the capital of this province, where we stay overnight.

DAY 22.- Back to AREQUIPA city, visiting many towns and enjoying the diversity of harvests and animals from the high Andes.

DAY 23.- AREQUIPA –RAFTING TO RIO CHILLI – Adventure day to CHILLI river, in order to enjoy rowing with the professionals.

DAY 24.- Back from AREQUIPA CIUDAD BLANCA, flight to LIMA and transfer to the Hotel (optional, cultural visit and shopping in the capital city).

DAY 25.- Back home after having enjoyed an amazing stay in different places in the South of PERU.

DAY 26.- Arrival to EUROPE.
