TOTAL DAYS 23

DAY 1.- Departure from your native country.

DAY 2.- Arrival to Lima city in Peru, transfer to "EL MUNDO Hotel".

DAY 3.- Departure to HUARAZ city, the capital of the state of ANCASH, located in the Northeast of the Peruvian coast. On this day we visit Lima city called CIUDAD DE LOS REYES (city of kings), we will also visit the rich and pour towns. We will go 200 Km to the north passing through towns such as CHANCAY, HUACHO, SUPE, BARRANCA and PATIVILCA, where we will go up slowly to the first PASO of the CORDILLERA BLANCA, from this place we may see the chains of the CORDILLERA BLANCA and HUAYHUASH. It is an 8 hour journey from LIMA to HUARAZ, the total distance is 400 km.

DAY 4.- HUARAZ, at 3090 meters over sea level. It is very important for people to begin with a quiet trek in the afternoon.

DAY 5.- Departure to the acclimatization zone, watch tower of CORDILLERA BLANCA, at JAPRU IRCA hill at 4600 meters over sea level, or at CHURUP lake, in a 4 to 5 hour journey.

DAY 6.- Departure to HUARAZ city to HUALCAYAN PAMPA, going through the towns of CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS, CARHUAZ such as TOMA, TINGO, MANCOS, RANRAHIRCA, and YUNGAY, we will stop in this place to visit the disappeared towns of CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS due to a natural disaster in 1970. We will continue to HUARAZ, COLCA, getting to HUALCAYAN in 5 or 6 hours, the first camp in the ruins and enjoy the sunset between CORDILLERA BLANCA and CORDILLERA NEGRA.

DAY 7.- HUALCAYAN-CULLICOCHA, at 4600 meters over sea level, early beginning on the first day trek on a zigzag way at 3000 meters over sea level, we will pass through YANACOCHA and AZULCOCHA lakes, get to the camp going up to 1600 meters over sea level. Warm weather.

DAY 8.- LAGUNA CULLICOCHA-QUEBRADA DE LOS CEDROS, early departure in the morning at the same hour as usual and we will enjoy our way to NEVADO DE SANTA CRUZ and others. On this day we will visit two PASOS such as PASOS DE LOS CEDROS at 4850 meters over sea level, from where we will go down first and then go up to the second PASO at 4750 meters over sea level, from here we will go down approximately 800 meters to the camp.

DAY 9.- QUEBRADA DE LOS CEDROS - REST DAY, visit to JANCARURISH lake and panoramic view of NEVADO ALPAMAYO, the most beautiful NEVADO in the world.

DAY 10.- QUEBRADA DE LOS CEDROS – HUILLCA PAMPA, going on our way, we will cross the river and begin the trek on a zigzag way to PASO CARA CARA at 4850 meters and also enjoy the flora and fauna of this valley with an amazing panoramic view, then go down quietly to get to PASO DE MESA PAMPA at 4600 meters over sea level, and then to HUILLCAPAMPA camp.

DAY 11.- HUILLCA – JACAPAMPA, Departure at the same hour as usual to the Southeast of the valley getting to 4600 meters, from where we will go down to VERDE COCHA lakes and a view of high Andes trees such as QUINUAL and also a multicolor flora then continue going down to JANCA PAMPA camp where we must meet people of this region.

DAY 12.- JANCA PAMPA – HUECRO COCHA, being yet in the Andes of CORDILLERA BLANCA, we will continue our trek going up to PASO TUPA TUPA at 4400 meters over sea level, get to YAYNO ruins and find out how our ancestors used to live, talking about history and walking the way of the Inca. From CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS we will go down to the small towns of this valley and then get to HUECRO COCHA camp.

DAY 13.- HUECRO COCHA – TUCTU BAMBA, departure to PASO DE ALTO PUCARAJU at 4650 meters. The way is in zigzag as usually, we will go down to the camp, this day also we will get to the most popular trekking of CORDILLERA BLANCA. Journey will take 5 to 6 hours depending on the clients’ physical condition.

DAY 14.- Rest day, on this day, we can still trek to PASO DE PUNTA UNION which is the most famous between travelers, from this place we can see ALPAMAYO mountain and NEVADO SANTA CRUZ which are really close.

DAY 15.- TUCTUBAMBA – VAQUERIA, we will go down to HUARIPAMPA towns and COLCA BAMBA at 2900 meters over sea level, take a break for a drink and after half way trek, we will go up to VAQUERIA camp, a city like place, where we can find transportation to YUNGAY city and others. I t is time to say good bye to muleteers who will go back to HUALCAYAN town.

DAY 16.- VAQUERIA – CEBOLLA PAMPA, keeping on the itinerary, we will take a parallel way to the road till we get to QUEBRADA DE LLANGANUCO, continue to PORTACHUELO DE LLANGANUCO at 4700 meters over sea level. From this place there is a wonderful and panoramic view of the mountains such as HUASCARAN, HUANDOY, PISCO, CHACRARAJU and CHOPICALQUI, then go down to CEBOLLA PAMPA camp.

DAY 17.- Rest day, we will take a break on this day and also prepare things for climbing NEVADO PISCO.

DAY 18.- CEBOLLA PAMPA – CAMPO BASE DE PISCO, departure to the base camp of PISCO at 4650 meters. sleeping at this height is very hard for some people who did not follow an acclimatization training but there is no problem for people who did. It is a 3 to 4 hour journey.

DAY 19.- CAMPO BASE – CAMPO MORENA, On this day, we will go up to CAMPO MORENA on a smooth way, not very difficult for some people, but hard for others who have no experience. It is a 4 hour journey, we will go slowly because of height and sleep at 4950 meters over sea level.

DAY 20.- CUMBRE PISCO – CAMPO BASE, early departure in order to be able to enjoy the panoramic view, the top is at 5727 meters over sea level. From the top of NEVADO PISCO, we will go back to CAMPO MORENA and then to CAMPO BASE, this afternoon we will celebrate having reached the top.

DAY 21.- CAMPO BASE – HUARAZ, departure to QUEBRADA DE LLANGANUCO, YUNGAY and then back to HUARAZ city.

DAY 22.- Back to LIMA city, departure on a private bus from HUARAZ city.

DAY 23.- LIMA – HOME, transfer to the airport or other destination.
