TOTAL DAYS 18

DAY 1.- Departure from your native country and arrival to JORGE CHAVEZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT in LIMA, PERU, transfer to EL MUNDO Hotel, located in the district of MIRAFLORES and meeting with the organizing company.

DAY 2.- Departure from the Hotel on the private bus to the nearest North of PERU, where we can see the economical activity of this part of the city, going through the districts of MIRAFLORES and SAN ISIDRO which have the privilege of having a high economical activity such as private stores and commercial banks. Along our way we will be able to descry the poverty of the people who live either in towns or downtown, whose houses are expanding to the surrounding hills, it is well-known that poverty exists in many places. Keeping along the trip we will pass through many provinces of the Peruvian coast which keep historical and cultural riches of our ancestors. Going on the border of the PACIFIC OCEAN we will get to BARRANCA, district of PATIVILCA from where we will go through VALLE DE FORTALEZA(FORTRESS VALLEY) to CHISQUI TAMBO town, then the trip continues going up to EL PASO DE CONOCOCHA at 4100 meters over sea level. From this point it is possible to see the range of CORDILLERA BLANCA and HUAYHUASH. Then descend North to PORTICO DE CALLEJON DE HUYLAS, district of CATAC, RECUEY and finally to HUARAZ city traveling 410 kilometers.

DAY 3.- Departure for acclimatization from HUARAZ to CORDILLERA NEGRA toward a place called JAPRUHIRCA at 4252 meters over sea level where the journey takes place on a ballasted road. From this place there is a beautiful panoramic view of CORDILLERA BLANCA and HUARAZ city. Keeping along the route we get to PASO DE CALLAN PUNTA and then go back to CHINKEY town, getting to a cross - road from where we will skirt a part of the CORDILLERA BLANCA to the mine of SANTO TORIBIO and then go down to PONGOR town, doing 40 Km/hour. Arriving to the district of PALMIRA and HUARAZ city in a 6 hour journey approximately.

DAY 4.- HUARAZ - CARAZ - YURAMARCA. Departure from HUARAZ city on a private vehicle which we will ride throughout our whole adventure trip, passing through the provinces of CARHUAZ, YUNGAY and CARAZ where our tour begins , we will also pass to CAÑON DEL PATO (PATO CANYON) where we will go through many tunnels until we get to the Electrical Energy Generation Plant for the northern part of PERU, finally we get to YURAMARCA town.

DAY 5.- YURAMARCA - TARICA 3400 meters over sea level. Early departure so that we can see the sun glowing over the mountains. It is also the most exhaustive day through climbing, and the physical condition of our team will be observed. On our way we will pass through some Andean towns such as YANAC at 2860 meters over sea level and others, then we will arrive to TARICA town at 3400 meters over sea level, where we will camp.

DAY 6.- TARICA - PASACANCHA. The adventure continues till we get to PASO CAHUARCOCHA at 4200 meters over sea level, keeping along the tour we will pass through CASHAPAMPA town, getting to the province of SIHUAS where we can find restaurants, lodging and telecommunication.

DAY 7.- SPARE Day. Rest is programmed on this day, all materials which have been used along the tour will be checked, after doing this there will be a walk to visit the touristic places of the province of SIHUAS.

DAY 8.- SIHUAS - PALO SECO 3150 meters over sea level. We left the province and depart to the reference point known as PALO SECO (DRY STICK). In this area we will find the intersection of many roads, then we will camp in an appropriate place for adventures.

DAY 9.- PALO SECO - SAFUNA LAKE 4300 meters over sea level. Coming out of PALO SECO to SAFUNA lake , we will pass through a PASO at 4340 meters over sea level to get to our destination. Around us we may observe the most beautiful mountain of the world, the eastern side of NEVADO ALPAMAYO and other mountains such as PUCAJIRCA, RIRIJIRCA, JANCACURISH and TAYAPAMPA. After observing the mountains we will camp at the border of SAFUNA lake.

DAY 10.- SAFUNA lake - PALO SECO - POMOBAMBA 2950 meters over sea level. Going out of the lake we will ride part of the distance SAFUNA lake - PALO SECO aboard of the vehicle and so, we get to PALO SECO, from where the adventure continues till we get to the province of POMOBAMBA where we will camp.

DAY 11.- POMOBAMBA - PISCOBAMBA - LLUMPA 3200 meters over sea level, we left the province of POMOBAMBA and depart to the province of PISCOBAMBA where we will take a break and then continue till we get to LLUMPA, where we will stay overnight.

DAY 12.- LLUMPA - SAN LUIS 3130 meters over sea level. Coming out of LLUMPA we get to SAN LUIS, on our way we will go over the valley or a part of CALLEJON DE CONCHUCOS.

DAY 13.- SPARE Day. This is the last spare day. Mountain bikes and others personal and group equipments will be checked, then we will depart to visit the provinces of SAN LUIS and its touristic places.

DAY 14.- SAN LUIS - CHACAS - POMPEY. We continue on our adventure getting to the picturesque district of CHACAS at 3360 meters over sea level, where we can see some workmanship on carved wood, for example in the church. After the visits, we go on until we get to POMPAY town where we spend the last night of our long adventures trip.

DAY 15.- POMPAY - PUNTA UNION - CARHUAZ - HUARAZ. Since it is the last day of our adventure we will depart very early in order to get to PASO DE PUNTA OLIMPICA at 5890 meters over sea level, from where we may watch the two biggest valleys of the state of ANCASH such as CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS and CALLEJON DE CONCHUCOS, and also the mountains of CORDILLERA BLANCA, for example the NEVADOS (mountains covered with snow) of HUASCARAN, CHOPICALQUI, CONTRAHIERBAS, ULTA HUALCAN and others.
After the visits, we will go down to CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS getting to the province of CARHUAZ, from where we will depart on our private vehicle to HUARAZ city. Getting to our destination, we will thank and say good bye to the group on behalf of THE HIGHLANDS EXPEDITIONS.

DAY 16.- HUARAZ - LIMA, we left HUARAZ city and depart to LIMA city, getting to EL MUNDO hotel.

DAY 17.- Back to your country or other destination. Departure to your country or other destination.

DAY 18.- Arrival to your native country.
